Data Collection

GlobeSync is built with privacy-first principles. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal user data.

All timezone conversions and currency calculations happen entirely within your browser. No data is sent to external servers — except for fetching live exchange rates directly from ExchangeRate-API.

Local Storage

Your preferences and data stay on your device:

• Selected world cities and timezone preferences
• Favorite currency pairs
• Theme preference (dark/light mode)
• Time and date format settings
• Working hours configuration
• Extension settings and state

All information is stored locally using Chrome's storage API and never leaves your browser.

Exchange Rate Requests

GlobeSync fetches live currency exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API. This is the only outbound network request made by the extension.

• Requests contain no personal identifiers
• Rates are cached locally to minimize requests
• You control the refresh interval (1h / 6h / 24h)
• No account or API key is tied to your identity

Analytics & Tracking

GlobeSync does not use:

• Analytics or tracking services
• Third-party advertising networks
• User behavior monitoring
• Crash reporting services that transmit data

Your usage is completely private and anonymous.
